Marketing, Advertising & Other Services for Authors
I am part of a group of passionate writers, editors, marketers, and strategists who love books and understand what it’s like to have a passion project. We’ve helped each other launch our own projects and decided to start helping others. I personally execute book launch strategies, marketing campaigns, and advertising for indie and traditional authors. We’re also happy to refer authors to our large network of professionals for services we don’t offer. Visit Passion Project Publishing for more information.
Copywriting, Marketing & Advertising
As a staffer and freelance, I’ve written advertising and marketing copy for hundreds of clients in dozens of industries including automotive, arts, beauty, entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, technology, home decor, food and beverage, and travel. I also have extensive experience in social media marketing and advertising, and as an editor and arts writer. I even do some ghostwriting (shhh). Feel free to contact me to discuss your project. Sloan Fine Art
In January 2008, after many years in the arts, I opened Sloan Fine Art, a contemporary art gallery on the Lower East Side of New York City. Over the course of four years at our location on Rivington Street, we mounted dozens of exciting exhibitions and worked with hundreds of wonderful artists. During that time, I also founded SFA Projects to create opportunities to participate, with my employees and extensive network of contacts in a wide range of fields, in creative projects beyond the traditional scope of a gallery. In 2012, I closed the Sloan Fine Art brick-and-mortar storefront to explore the alternative, less restrictive, approach of operating as a nomadic gallery. Closing the gallery’s physical space allowed me more time to write, work with freelance clients, guest curate, lecture at art schools, coach artists, consult for artists, collectors, and businesses, and pursue all sorts of fun and interesting opportunities. While I am still active in the arts, as of 2022, I no longer mount exhibitions under the Sloan Fine Art banner. Visit the Sloan Fine Art and Practical Advice for Artists websites for more information.
